The Texas A&M women's golf team remains in third place after shooting a season low 286 in the second round of the Alamo Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.

The Aggies have three golfers tied at fifth place overall individually after the second day of action. Freshman Aggie golfer Sarah Beth Davis tallied a two-under 70 on the day and senior Sarah Zwartynski finished with a one-under 71.

Rounding out the Aggie scores for the day were freshman Natalie Reeves (74), freshman Chelsea Mocio (81) and, competing individually, freshman Janell Lysack (77).

"Much better finish today on the last five holes," A&M head coach Trelle McCombs said. "We kept just giving ourselves chances. I was impressed with the fact that we stayed patient even when so many putts weren't necessarily falling for us from the front."

With a two-day score of 582, the Aggies sit behind Texas Christian (575) and Tulane University (581) and are tied with Big 12 opponent Colorado (582).

Behind the Aggies in the standings are Notre Dame (587), UTSA (591), Baylor (594), Tulsa (597), Wisconsin (600), Nebraska (607), Central Arkansas (609), Kansas State (613), Southern Methodist (614) and Central Florida (623).

With reports of wind on the final day of competition, McCombs said she is excited to see how the team will respond against the weather.

"It should be fun tomorrow to see what happens in the wind," McCombs said. "We usually love the wind."
