COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The second-ranked Texas A&M equestrian team wraps up its homestand on Friday when the Aggies host No. 3 Auburn in a battle of unbeatens at the Brazos County Expo Complex. Show time is 11 a.m. and admission is free.
A&M (3-0), which has won 11 straight at home entering Friday's show, is coming off a three-point win over fourth-ranked Oklahoma State last weekend. The Aggies have outscored opponents 36-20 on the young season and are unbeaten on both the hunter seat and western sides in 2010.
The Tigers, meanwhile, are 5-0 and are making their first-ever visit to College Station. Auburn has not competed in a month, notching home wins over Delaware State and Fresno State in early October. The Tigers' lone road show this year resulted in a tiebreaker victory at South Carolina.
Auburn leads the all-time series, 4-0, including an 11-9 victory over the Aggies last fall at the Auburn Horse Center. Both regular-season meetings have been decided by two points.
Action will begin with the equitation over fences competition, followed by horsemanship, equitation on the flat and reining. The teams will compete five riders in each of the four disciplines. Live results will be available on aggieathletics.com throughout the day for those unable to attend the show.
The 3,000-seat Expo Complex is located at 5827 Leonard Road in Bryan.
