The Texas A&M men's swimming team will compete in the 2010 Cougar Classic Invitational in Houston, while the Aggie men's diving crew will head east to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech Invitational Friday through Sunday.
In Houston, the Aggies will get an early preview of future dual meet opponent SMU and LSU. A&M gets both the Mustangs and Tigers at home later this season – the Mustangs on Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. and the Tigers on Jan. 22 at 12 noon.
The Aggies' dive crew of juniors Grant Nel and Cam McLean and sophomore Paul Xiques will face off against Florida, Florida State, Clemson, North Carolina State, Michigan State, Gardner-Webb, Florida Atlantic and Emory.
The Aggies are coming off an undefeated road swing through Florida last week that yielded dual meet victories over Florida Atlantic, Indian River and Nova Southeastern. The Aggies won 11 of 15 events against FAU with freshman Kyle Troskot and Nel posting victories in a pair of events. In the double dual against Div. II power Indian River State College and Nova Southeastern, the Aggies won 12 of 15 with double wins from Nel and senior Balazs Makany.
