COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The undefeated and No. 1-ranked Texas A&M equestrian team brings its fall season to a close on Saturday when the Aggies host sixth-ranked Kansas State at the Brazos County Expo Complex. Show time is set for 10 a.m. and admission is free.

A&M (5-0) took over the top spot in the Equestrian Coaches Poll for the first time ever this week after a hot start to the season that included wins over two top-three squads. Most recently, the Aggies defeated rival Baylor, 11-8, last week in Waco.

K-State, meanwhile, is 4-3 entering a Friday show at Baylor. The Wildcats have won three of their last four but were defeated at home by Oklahoma State in their most recent action two weeks ago. Kansas State is coached by Casie Lisabeth, a 2005 graduate of Texas A&M and four-year letterwinner for Aggie coach Tana McKay. Casie's younger sister, Katie, is a junior on the A&M horsemanship squad.

Texas A&M has won seven straight matchups with Kansas State, including a 14-9 win last spring in Bryan. Included in that run is a victory by the western team that clinched its second-straight national championship, defeating the Wildcats in the finals of the Varsity Equestrian National Championships in Waco in April.

Action will begin with the equitation over fences competition, followed by horsemanship, equitation on the flat and reining. The teams will compete six riders in each of the four disciplines, with a total of 24 points at stake. Live results will be available on aggieathletics.com throughout the day for those unable to attend the show.

The 3,000-seat Expo Complex is located at 5827 Leonard Road in Bryan.
