EL PASO, Texas--Texas A&M junior Jordan Russell is in a tie for 17th place after the first two rounds of the Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic at El Paso Country Club.
Russell (College Station) fired rounds of 72 and 71 on Monday to sit at 1-over par 143 through 36 holes. He recorded four consecutive birdies on holes 9-12 in his first round, then shot 3-under on the back nine in round two to hit the clubhouse at even par through the final 18.
Tain Lee leads the field after scorching the course for a 9-under 133, including a first-round 64.
The third and final round is scheduled for Tuesday at 8 a.m. (MT). Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
