COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M women's basketball team is off to a 5-0 start on the season and climbed to a No. 7 national ranking in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.

The undefeated Aggies achieved their highest ranking since a year ago on Dec. 1, 2009, when the team was ranked seventh in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. A&M has now been ranked in the Coaches poll for 83 consecutive weeks and 37 all-time in the top 10. The Aggies have been ranked for 47 consecutive weeks in the AP poll and 29 all-time in the top 10.

In the Coaches' poll, Connecticut remains in the top spot unanimously followed by Stanford, Baylor, Xavier, Duke and Ohio State. Rounding out the top 10 is Tennessee, Kentucky and West Virginia.

The Aggies host California on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Reed Arena in a game that is televised nationally on FSN. A&M then travels to No. 5 Duke on Monday for another nationally televised game at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
