GAME PREVIEW
After a successful 12-1 non-conference start, the fifth-ranked Texas A&M women's basketball team looks to carry that momentum into Big 12 Conference play beginning with Colorado (9-4) on Jan. 8. Tipoff between the Aggies and the Buffaloes is set for 7 p.m. (CT) at Reed Arena. A&M is riding its longest winning streak of the season, a six-game stint, and is coming off of its largest margin of victory all season with a 105-57 rout of ULM on Tuesday. The Aggies are 6-0 in the comfortable confines of Reed Arena and welcome the Buffaloes who are searching for their first win away from home this season. Senior Tanisha Smith had 16 points and Damitria Buchanan added 14 for the Aggies. Bianca Smith led Colorado (13-14, 3-11) with 22 points and Alyssa Fressle had 12. Elonu's previous career high was 17 against Stephen F. Austin on Dec. 2, 2008. She passed that with a 15-foot jumper that gave the Aggies a 74-47 lead with 8:53 left in the game. Buchanan scored 12 of her points in the second half. The Aggies took control of the game early. Colorado led 11-7 with 14:32 left in the first half when Texas A&M went on an 18-2 run over the next 6:24 to take a 25-13 advantage. Adams scored five of her 13 first-half points during the run, and Texas A&M led 45-35 at half. The Aggies quickly increased their lead to 57-31 in the first five minutes of the second half and led by as many as 36 late in the game. Texas A&M shot 63.6 percent from the field, the highest percentage allowed by Colorado this season. The 95 points the Buffaloes gave up was also the most allowed at home in 30 years.

UP NEXT
Up next, the Aggies go on the road for a two-game, Big 12 road swing. A&M first travels to Stillwater, Okla., on Jan. 12 for a 7 p.m. contest against Oklahoma State and then continues on to Columbia, Mo., on Jan. 15 for an 11 a.m. matchup at Missouri. For the fourth time this season, fans can watch the Aggies on nationally television. The Saturday, Jan. 15 game is televised on FSN.

SIX STRAIGHT
A&M suffered its only loss of the season, a three-point setback at then-No. 5 Duke on Dec. 6, 2010. Since then, the Aggies have won six straight and forced their opponents to make a significant 27.2 turnovers per game. A&M is averaging 90.8 points in its last six games, while outscoring its opponents by 36.7 points, and the team has held a +13.7 turnover margin. The Aggies also started the year on a six-game streak.

HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
The 12th Man does make a difference. The Aggies have won 48 straight non-conference home games, dating back to a 40-46 loss to Houston on 12/30/03. In addition, A&M has won 75 of its last 82 home games for a 91.5 winning percentage at home over the past six seasons.

A HOT START
Texas A&M is off to one of the best starts in school history, winning 12 of its first 13 games. Gary Blair's Aggies have started the season at 12-1 for three consecutive seasons. A win against Colorado would make the 2010-11 team only the third ever to start the year 13-1 (2009-10 and 2008-09). The last two years the Aggies have amassed 14-1 records to begin the season.

AGGIES IN NON-CONFERENCE PLAY
The Aggies are 85-14 (.859) in non-conference play in the Gary Blair Era (2003-Present) and turned in their fourth non-conference season with 12-or-more victories in Coach Blair's eight overall seasons in Aggieland. It was the third straight season that A&M finished non-conference play with just a single loss at 12-1.
