COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M achieved its first top-10 ranking in over three years on Monday, as the Aggies checked in at No. 10 in the latest ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll.

A&M (16-1) made the jump after a 91-89 overtime victory over then No. 12 Missouri this weekend, which extended the Aggies' win streak to 13 games--the third-longest in school history and longest in 91 years.

The last time A&M appeared in the national top 10 was on Nov. 26, 2007, when the Aggies were ranked ninth by both The Associated Press and USA Today polls. It also marks just the fifth time in school history that a Texas A&M team has broken the top 10 in a season, joining the 1959-60, 1978-79, 2006-07 and 2007-08 squads.

A&M moved up three spots to No. 11 in the AP Poll, also released Monday.

The Aggies, who sit atop the Big 12 standings with a 3-0 record, return to action on Wednesday when they head to Austin to face No. 10/11 Texas in the first round of the State Farm Lone Star Showdown. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. at the Frank Erwin Center and the game will air nationally on ESPN2.
