GAME PREVIEW
The fifth-ranked Texas A&M women's basketball team (17-1, 5-0) takes its 11-game winning streak on the road to No. 12 Oklahoma (15-3, 5-0) Wednesday, Jan. 26 for its second consecutive top 20 matchup. The Aggies and the Sooners are set to tipoff at 7 p.m. at Lloyd Noble Center. In a battle of unbeatens in the Big 12 Conference, A&M is boasting its best league start in program history, while OU has started 5-0 in the conference five times. The Aggies are coming off of their first win at No. 20 Iowa State and are one of two teams to be 3-0 on the road in Big 12 play. The national leader in turnover margin, A&M is forcing its opponents to make almost 25 turnovers per game, while committing the sixth-least turnovers in the country (13.5). The Aggies are dishin' and swishin' with the third-best assist-to-turnover ratio in the nation (1.37), the fourth-best scoring margin (+27.8) and the ninth-most assists per game (18.4). The Aggies have only won once in Norman, Okla., since the start of the Big 12 and each of A&M's last four away contests in the OU series have been played in front of large crowds over the 8,000+ mark, presenting one of the toughest home-court advantages in women's college basketball.

OKLAHOMA REPLAY
Tyra White carried Texas A&M in the first half and Danielle Adams scored 17 of her 19 points in the second, helping the 11th-ranked Aggies hold off No. 12 Oklahoma 74-67 on Sunday for their second Big 12 tournament title in three years. White had all of her 16 points in the first half and Texas A&M relied on Adams in the second to answer every Oklahoma charge. Adaora Elonu added 10 points and hit two big free throws for Texas A&M in its third straight conference title game. The Sooners shot well in the first half, but the four-time tournament champions missed too many shots at the rim in the second to keep up. Amanda Thompson had 20 points and 19 rebounds, and Danielle Robinson scored 18 for the Sooners. Adams hurt the Sooners inside and out, hitting a 3-pointer and powering inside for putbacks and short jumpers. The tournament MVP scored eight straight points for Texas A&M midway through the half to quash a short Oklahoma run and had a three-point play after another Sooners spurt to put the Aggies up 63-59 with 4 1/2 minutes left. Oklahoma cut the lead to 67-65 when Thompson ripped the ball from Sydney Colson and hit a jumper with 1:11 left. But Colson answered with a runner and Elonu hit two free throws to keep Oklahoma from getting any closer.

UP NEXT
Up next, the Aggies host No. 1 Baylor at Reed Arena on Sunday, Jan. 30 in their third consecutive top 20 matchup and first-ever top 5 matchup. The game is set for a noon tipoff and is televised nationally on FSN.

ONE AND ONLY
Texas A&M is one of only seven Division I women's basketball schools in the country and one of two Big 12 squads with one loss or less on the season. The Aggies suffered a three-point setback at Duke on Dec. 6, 2010, which snapped a six-game win streak to begin the 2010-11 campaign. The Blue Devils are the only remaining unbeaten team in the nation followed by one-loss squads in A&M, West Virginia, Miami (Fla.), Green Bay, UConn and league foe Baylor.

A SIZZLING START
Texas A&M is off to the best start in school history, winning 17 of its first 18 games. Previously, Gary Blair's Aggies had started the season at 14-1 for three straight seasons, but the 2010-11 team is the only team in program history to start the year at 17-1.

BEST BIG 12 START
The Aggies have gotten out to their first-ever 5-0 start in Big 12 play and look for their sixth-straight league win at OU. Previously, A&M at best, had gone 3-1 three times to start league play (2009-10, 2006-07, 2005-06).

ADAMS APPROACHING 1,000 POINTS
All-America candidate Danielle Adams is quickly approaching the 1,000-point mark of her Aggie career and coming into Wednesday's game boasts 943 career points. Only 21 A&M players have ever reached this prestigious plateau. What's more is that only two players all-time have accomplished this feat in just two seasons - Jaynetta Saunders (1,024 from 1999-01) and Peggy Pope (1,010 in 1978-80).

COLSON DISHES OUT 100+ ASSISTS
For the third straight year, Sydney Colson registered 100+ assists in a single season. With three assists at Iowa State, Colson hit the 100 mark. She currently has 102 assists in 2010-11 and is on pace to shatter her assist totals from the previous two seasons (129 in 2009-10 and 106 in 2008-09). Colson has been the team leader in assists for the past two seasons and currently ranks seventh on the career list with 385 assists.

ELEVEN STRAIGHT
Since the Aggies' only setback on Dec. 6, they have won 11 straight games which is their longest streak of the season and longest streak since the 2008-09 season when the team started the year with a school-record 12 consecutive wins. During this season's stretch the Aggies have forced their opponents to make an outstanding 25.4 turnovers per game, while just committing 12.6 - a +12.6 turnover margin. A&M is averaging 85.2 points and nearly 20 assists per game to its opponents' 8.9. The Aggies are also shooting over 48 percent from the floor. Individually, three Aggies are averaging double figures in the last 11 games, including Adams (24.5 ppg), White (14.1 ppg) and Carter (11.2 ppg). Colson is dishing out seven assists per game.

IN THE NATIONAL POLLS
The Aggies started the season with their highest-ever preseason ranking at No. 8 in both the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll and the Associated Press Top 25 Poll. This week, A&M remained at No. 6 in the AP Poll for the second straight week and remained at No. 5 in the Coaches' Poll for the sixth straight week. The Aggies are at their highest ranking since Dec. 8, 2009, when the team was also ranked fifth in the Coaches Poll. A&M has now been ranked in the Coaches Poll for 91 consecutive weeks and 45 all-time in the top 10. The Aggies have been ranked for 58 consecutive weeks in the AP poll and 37 all-time in the top 10.

ADAMS BIG 12 PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR THE THIRD TIME
Danielle Adams picked up her third Big 12 Player of the Week award and her four career honor on Jan. 24 after averaging 29.5 points, 12 rebounds and 4.5 blocks with a pair of double-doubles in wins against Texas and Iowa State. The senior from Kansas City, Mo., matched a Reed Arena record and tallied the third-most points in program history with a career-high 34 points against the Longhorns. She tied her career-best of 12 rebounds and posted her ninth career double-double and seventh this season. She scored 30+ points for the third time this season. At No. 20 Iowa State, Adams had a first-half season-high three blocked shots en route to a season-best six blocks. She again matched her career-high rebounds (12) and her career-best in 3-point field goals made (4) for a 57.1 shooting percentage from beyond the arc (4-of-7). With a team-high 25 points, Adams extended her double-digit scoring streak to 27 straight games.

BIG-TIME STATS
As a three-time Big 12 Player of the Week this season, Adams averages 25.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in the six games that earned her the prestigious weekly accolades. She is also shooting 45.2 percent from beyond the arc in those games.
