COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The May 4 Texas A&M softball game vs. Texas at the Aggie Softball Complex will be broadcast by Fox Sports Network (FSN) starting at 6:30 p.m., the network announced this week.
The A&M softball team was placed at No. 19 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Preseason Poll Monday, while UT was slated at 15th. The Aggies hold an 18-17 all-time record against Texas, winning their last battle in 2010 at home 1-0 before falling to the Longhorns in Austin, 1-4.
The teams will meet April 6 in the state capital for their first game of the season before playing in front of a national-television crowd from College Station. A win in each game is worth one-half point in the 2011 State Farm Lone Star Showdown, an annual athletic rivalry between the two schools.
