On the game

"I thought Nebraska was great. They were great defensively. They were very physical. I thought when they knocked David (Loubeau) on his butt we never responded to that intentional foul. It made them tougher than us and us not quite as tough. We never responded. I thought the game was won when we let (Lance) Jeter score in transition. We let them get easy ones instead of making them earn it. He's a one-man fast break and made two really good plays there in a row."

"I did a bad job coaching today, which really didn't help us any, especially in the second half. Nebraska has a really good team, especially in this building."

On the offensive struggles in second half

"We just weren't tough enough. It was physical. It was real physical and we didn't respond. We've been able to do that in the past and we didn't respond today. We just weren't tough enough and that's what it comes down to."

On Nebraska going to Jorge Brian Diaz often

"He's a good player, especially with (David) Loubeau guarding him. He's giving up probably about four inches and eight inches in length. I thought we did a good job on him, to be honest with you - 15 shots, 16 points. I thought we did a good job on him. They're hard to guard, especially when they space you out.

On Nebraska

"They can space you out a little bit better this year. They have a few more shooters. I know they didn't make shots today, (but) they made the big one when it was a three-point game - (Eshaunte) Jones. He always makes them against us. He made a big one in the first half when he was closely guarded and they were struggling. He did it last year in the Big 12 tournament too."

On the atmosphere today

"I thought it was fantastic. It wasn't nearly that two years ago when we played here. I know it's still early and everybody still has hope. It means we've comes somewhere when Nebraska's storming the floor when they beat A&M. I guess our program's come somewhere. I thought the atmosphere was great. It was loud. It really affected us and it got them going defensively. I think it affected a lot of people."

Nebraska Head Coach Doc Sadler

On the game

"I thought it was a game of two halves. I thought Texas A&M was definitely the more aggressive basketball team in the first half and we got a little flustered offensively when they were hitting some 3s. We tried to match those 3s instead of just being patient. I thought Brian (Jorge Diaz) was awfully aggressive inside and we could have gotten some baskets. We came down and shot it pretty quick. Instead of putting them on defense and trying to cool them down that way, we shot it pretty quick and they continued to make them."

On what he said to the team at half

"We were fortunate to be in the game. I challenged the team. I told them at halftime, `Guys it's real simple, the team that comes in here and controls the defensive boards, doesn't give up second shots and wins the transition battle is going to win this ball game.' I don't know if we did those two things, but I think we did. I thought for the most part we played pretty well."

On if he likes Lance Jeter going coast to coast

"Yeah, I like that. The thing is, Lance is the guy who gave us the spark. When you look at the plays when Lance gets the defensive rebounds, I would say that probably 40% or 50% of those times something good is going to happen. When he gets it, he has one thing on his mind and he pushes it. I think from baseline to baseline if you're just getting in a race with him, he's pretty quick and pretty fast."

On what the key to their defense was in the second half

"Keeping them out of the lane. They got into the lane the last five minutes quite a bit. I thought we did a decent job of not putting them at the free-throw line as much, six of 14 and their 20 of 28. The free-throw is probably the next best thing we did."

On the crowd today

"It's huge, you're 3-for-3 in league play at home. If you want a chance to compete in this league you have to take care of home court. What can I say about the crowd? We wouldn't have won this basketball game if we didn't have a full house. You saw what happened when Lance made one or two plays, you can't hear. We're used to playing at home so we're comfortable and the opposing team is maybe a little bit less comfortable."
