FRESNO, Calif. - The Texas A&M equestrian team maintained its unanimous No. 1 ranking in the latest Women's Intercollegiate Equestrian Coaches' Poll, released Tuesday.

The Aggies (80 points) received every first-place vote for the second straight poll after trouncing South Carolina, 15-5, on Friday afternoon in the spring season opener. A&M is the only team in the history of the poll to earn a unanimous No. 1 ranking.

Auburn (63 points) was ranked second, followed by Georgia (62), Oklahoma State (61), TCU (50), South Carolina (34), Baylor (28), Kansas State (25), Fresno State (12) and New Mexico State (12).

The collegiate coaches competing under the Varsity Equestrian Championship umbrella initiated the national poll. The poll will be released bi-monthly with the next announcement scheduled for Feb. 15.

A&M (7-0), off to the best start in school history, returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 12 when the Aggies close out the home portion of its regular-season schedule against the 7th-ranked Bears. Show time is set for 11 a.m. at the Brazos County Expo Complex and admission is free.
