GAME PREVIEW
The No. 5 Texas A&M women's basketball team (22-3, 10-2) plays its second game in a 72-hour period on Tuesday, Feb. 22 against Texas Tech (19-7, 6-6) and fans can purchase three tickets for $3 or grab three reserved seats for just $5. The Aggies and the Lady Raiders tip off at 7 p.m. (CT) at Reed Arena. A&M bounced back from just its third loss of the season with a 76-67 win over Oklahoma State on Saturday, while Tech is hot off of back-to-back victories over top 25 teams including No. 1 Baylor. Against the Lady Raiders, the Aggies look for their third regular season sweep of a Big 12 South opponent this season. Texas A&M is in sole possession of second place in the league, while Texas Tech is in a three-way tie for fifth place.

PARKING ON TUESDAY
Women's basketball fans are encouraged to park and will receive free parking in lots 100a, b and c on Tuesday. With a home baseball game scheduled for 6:35 p.m., those parking in lots 100e, f, g and j will be charged $5. Those with valid TAMU parking permits will be allowed to park in any Reed lot for free.

A LOOK AT THE LADY RAIDERS
Texas Tech started the year hot at 16-1 and that included a 3-0 start in Big 12 play. The Lady Raiders hit a tough six-game skid, that included a loss to the Aggies, but have since bounced back with three straight wins, including its only victories against top 25 opponents this season in No. 20 Iowa State and top-ranked Baylor. Tuesday, they are searching for their third-straight win against a ranked opponent and their first 20-win season under head coach Kristy Curry who is 85-69 in her fifth year at Tech. Junior center Kierra Mallard (13 ppg, 7.4 rpg) and sophomore guard Casey Morris (10 ppg) lead the Lady Raiders, while senior forward Teena Wickett has came off the bench the past three games and provides 9.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.

51 Takia Starks to tally the most points of any A&M women's basketball player in two consecutive seasons. Starks currently holds that mark with 1,141 points from 2007-09. What's more, is Adams is also on pace to register the most points of any A&M women's basketball player in a single season. With 577 points this year, Adams needs just 35 more to surpass Jaynetta Saunders (611 pts in 2000-01) to become the single-season record holder in total points.

FROM THE SIDELINES
• Texas A&M head coach Gary Blair is in his 26th overall season as a Division I head coach. He currently ranks in the top 20 in career victories (584) and in the top 30 by winning percentage (.710, 584-239) among active Division I coaches in the NCAA women's basketball record books.
• Blair is the all-time winningest coach in program history with 176 wins and a .698 winning percentage (176-76). He surpassed former head coach Lynn Hickey, who compiled 154 career victories from 1984-1994, with an 84-53 win over Portland State in the NCAA First Round on March 20, 2010 in Seattle, Wash.
• Blair is one of only four active Division I coaches (five all-time) to lead three different programs to the NCAA Tournament next to C. Vivian Stringer of Rutgers, Joanne P. McCallie of Duke and Jim Foster of Ohio State. Blair previously coached at Stephen F. Austin (1985-93) and Arkansas (1993-03). Blair and Stringer are the only two coaches to guide three different teams to the NCAA Sweet 16.
• Blair is 7-7 lifetime versus his alma mater in his 26 years as a Division I head coach. Blair earned his bachelor's degree in health and physical education in 1972 and his master's degree in education in 1974 from Texas Tech. He also played a season of baseball for the Red Raiders. All seven of his career victories over Tech have occurred during his tenure in Aggieland.
• Fifth-year Texas Tech head coach Kristy Curry has Aggie ties. She previously served as an assistant coach under former A&M head coach Candi Harvey from 1994-96, prior to receiving her first head coaching job at Purdue from 1999-2006. She is married to Texas Tech assistant coach Kelly Curry, a Class of `90 graduate of A&M.

POSTGAME NOTES
• For the second time this season, Texas A&M used the starting lineup of Sydney Colson, Sydney Carter, Tyra White, Karla Gilbert and Danielle Adams. The Aggies are 2-0 with this starting lineup.
• Texas A&M narrowed the all-time series to 20-21 against Oklahoma State. The Aggies have won 14 out of the last 16 meetings between the two Big 12 South rivals and swept OSU in the regular season for the sixth time and the first since the 2008-09 season.
• The Aggies totaled just three turnovers in the second half, which was a second-half season-low mark.
• A&M held the Cowgirls to 34.6 percent shooting in the first half (9-of-26), including just 25 percent from beyond the arc.
• Danielle Adams has now scored double figures in 33 of her last 34 games and tallied her 16th 20-point performance.
• Sydney Carter registered double figures for the 12th time this season, while Tyra White has now reached double figures in 19 games, including 14 of the last 17.
• Carter tallied five assists, which was the most assists she has had since a career-high eight against Purdue on Dec. 9, 2010.
