FRESNO, Calif. - Texas A&M remained atop the latest edition of the Women's Intercollegiate Equestrian National Coaches Poll, released Tuesday.
The Aggies (9-1), who split a pair of shows on the road this past weekend, received 86 points and sit eight ahead of the new No. 2 team, Georgia (78 points). Auburn is third, followed by Oklahoma State, Baylor, Kansas State, TCU, South Carolina, Fresno State and New Mexico State.
A&M has topped the poll since the middle of November, when it earned the first No. 1 ranking in program history.
The collegiate coaches competing under the Varsity Equestrian Championship umbrella initiated the national poll. The next ranking is scheduled for Tuesday, March 15.
Texas A&M is idle before returning to action at No. 9 Fresno State on Saturday, March 26. The Aggies then host the Big 12 Championships on April 1 & 2 at the Brazos County Expo Complex in Bryan.
