SCOUTING KANSAS STATE
Kansas State closes out the home portion of its schedule Wednesday night. The Wildcats are coming off of a pair of loses at No. 3 Baylor (48-75) and against No. 24 Iowa State (51-58). The team was picked to finish ninth in the Big 12 Preseason Poll, but proved the league wrong when it started the Big 12 portion of its schedule at 6-2. Since then, however, K-State has lost four of its last six games. The team is led by sophomore guard Brittany Chambers who averages 15.7 points and adds 5.6 rebounds per game. Junior forward Jalana Childs (14.0 ppg) and sophomore guard Taelor Karr (10.0 ppg) also score in double digits, while junior forward Branshea Brown grabs a team-best 5.8 rebounds per game. Head coach Deb Patterson is in her 15th year at the helm of the K-State program and holds a 297-173 (.632) career record.

HOT FROM THE LINE
In 37 all-time seasons of A&M women's basketball, this year's team boasts the best free-throw percentage (73.4) in program history. Junior Takia Starks to tally the most points of any A&M women's basketball player in two consecutive seasons. Starks previously held that mark with 1,141 points from 2007-09.
FROM THE SIDELINES
• Texas A&M head coach Gary Blair is 5-5 lifetime versus Kansas State in his 26 years as a Division I head coach. Of Blair's five all-time wins, A&M handed the Wildcats' their second-fewest points ever scored in a Big 12 game in a 66-39 rout on Jan. 11, 2006 in College Station. Four of his career wins versus the Wildcats have been in Big 12 Conference play with the Aggies and the other during his Stephen F. Austin days, an 82-59 victory in Dallas on Dec. 11, 1987 over a K-State squad coached by Matilda Mossman.
• Aside from Missouri, Danielle Adams and Tyra White were also recruited in high school by Big 12 North rival Kansas State growing up two hours East of Manhattan in Kansas City, Mo. Both of their paths to Aggieland were different, but shared the same common denominator of current Aggie assistant coach Johnnie Harris who recruited all three while an assistant at Arkansas and Arkansas-Fort Smith. Adams originally signed with Missouri out of high school, but did not qualify academically and attended Jefferson (Mo.) College to become eligible for Division I play. Smith played one season at Arkansas, before transferring to UA-Fort Smith. White originally signed with LSU, but decided to transfer after the departure of head coach Pokey Chatman.
