PROBABLE PITCHING MATCHUPS
FRIDAY (MARCH 11)
Texas A&M - #12 Blake Stouffer accomplished the feat against Ohio State on June 3, 2007, during play at the NCAA College Station Regional. Naquin would need another similarly amazing performance to tie Stouffer who completed the cycle twice in 2007 to tie several others for the NCAA record. Naquin is batting .667 (6-for-9) with eight RBI in his last two games.
 • Junior first baseman Jacob House also enters the FIU series on a hot streak having notched seven hits in his last 11 at bats (.636). The Mansfield, Texas, native went 4-for-5 against Houston on March 6 and followed that outing with a 3-for-6 night against Centenary on March 8 that including his first Texas A&M home run and a career-best four RBI.
 • In his first appearance at the top of the Aggie line-up, freshman outfielder Jace Statum spearheaded the A&M offensive explosion against Centenary on Tuesday. The Orangefield, Texas, native went 4-for-5 with three runs and three RBI against the Gents.
 • The Texas A&M pitching staff was tabbed as one of the country's best heading into the 2011 campaign and through nine games they have lived up to the billing. Overall, the Aggies sport a 1.53 earned run average with 117 strikeouts in 118 innings of work while limiting their opponents to a .197 batting average.
 • A&M's starting pitchers have set the tone early in the A&M victories this year. In fact, Aggie starters have allowed just nine earned runs in the first 72.0 innings they tossed this year and carry a 1.12 ERA into the FIU series.
 • The Aggies end their five-game home stand next Tuesday (March 15) and kick off Big 12 play on March 18-20 in Norman against No. 2 Oklahoma.
