COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 11 Texas A&M baseball team hosts No. 13 Cal State Fullerton Tuesday night in a 6:35 p.m. contest at Olsen Field in what will be the Aggies' final tune-up before the start of Big 12 Conference play.

The Titans come to College Station with a record of 8-6 and are ranked as high as 13th by Baseball America. Cal State Fullerton is looking to rebound after being swept over the weekend at No. 16 LSU.

A&M/CAL STATE FULLERTON SERIES NOTABLES
Texas A&M and Cal State Fullerton have met five times on the baseball diamond with the Titans holding a slim 3-2 advantage in the series and riding a three-game winning streak against the Aggies. The most recent meeting came on March 10, 2009, when No. 9 Cal State Fullerton defeated No. 3 Texas A&M 15-5 at Olsen Field.

NOTES AND NOTABLES
 • Sophomore Tyler Naquin is sizzling at the plate for Texas A&M, batting .591 (13-for-22) in his last four games to raise his team-high batting average to .381 on the year. Naquin's run began at Minute Maid Park where he completed of one of the rarest feats in baseball by hitting for the cycle during last Sunday's  win over Houston.
 • In his first appearance at the top of the Aggie line-up, freshman outfielder Jace Statum spearheaded the A&M offensive explosion against Centenary last Tuesday. The Orangefield, Texas, native went 4-for-5 with three runs and three RBI against the Gents. In his four games last, Statum is hitting .467 (7-of-15) with five runs scored.
 • The Texas A&M pitching staff was tabbed as one of the country's best heading into the 2011 campaign and through 16 games they have lived up to the billing. Overall, the Aggies sport a 1.84 earned run average with 138 strikeouts in 147 innings of work while limiting their opponents to a .202 batting average.
 • A&M's starting pitchers have set the tone early for the Aggies this year.  In fact, Aggie starters have allowed just 15 earned runs in the first 89 innings they have tossed this year and carry a 1.52 ERA into the Cal State Fullerton game.
 • Tuesday's game ends the Aggie's five-game home stand and a streak of 14 of 17 home games to start the season. The beginning of Big 12 play looms this weekend as Texas A&M travels to Norman, Okla., to battle No 3 Oklahoma.
