COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Following a road series win over Kansas State that kept the Aggies atop the Big 12 standings, the No. 5 Texas A&M baseball takes a break from its road-heavy stretch to host Houston in a 5:05 p.m. contest at Olsen Field Tuesday.

The game will be a rematch of contest on March 6 during which the Aggies defeated the Cougars 11-4 in the finale of the Houston College Classic.

Texas A&M (22-6, 7-2 Big 12) enters the contest looking to get back on a roll after having its season-long nine-game winning streak snapped during its last outing. Houston (15-14, 3-0 C-USA), meanwhile, is riding the momentum of the Cougars' sweep at Tulane over the weekend to begin their run in Conference USA.

A&M/HOUSTON SERIES NOTABLES
After notching a win over the Cougars on March 6, Texas A&M leads the all-time series with the Cougars by the count of 109-54-1.  The Aggies have won 13 of the last 17 meetings between the long-time Southwest Conference foes, who have met at least once on the baseball diamond every year since 1964.

UP NEXT
The Aggies return to the road this weekend as they travel to Lubbock, Texas, to put their first-place Big 12 record on the line in a three-game series against league-rival Texas Tech during a three-game series at Dan Law Field.

NOTES AND NOTABLES
• The 7-2 start to Big 12 Conference play through nine games is the best for the Aggies since an identical 7-2 beginning to the 1999 Big 12 schedule.

• As outstanding as the Texas A&M starting pitching staff has been this year, the Aggie bullpen has been just as dominant. In Big 12 play this season, the A&M bullpen holds a 0.59 ERA, having allowed just one earned run (two total) in 15.1 innings of work.

• Freshman Krey Bratsen leads the Aggies in hitting during Big 12 play with a .395 batting average (15-for-38), edging fellow outfielder Tyler Naquin (.389) for the top spot on the squad in league play. Naquin, leads the Aggies for the overall season with a .373 clip at the plate.

• Naqiun has developed into one of the best hitters in the Big 12. The Spring, Texas, native has hit safely in 22 of 27 games played this season and has reached base in three of the five games he has not recorded a hit.

• Junior first baseman Jacob House is finding his groove at the plate as the Mansfield, Texas, native has driven in at least one run in eight of his last 10 games, including three mutli-RBI games. He has also hit safely in eight of the 10 games with four mulit-hit games. Among the clutch knocks during his run were a go-ahead RBI double in the ninth inning of a 4-3 win at Kansas State on April 2, a go-ahead two-run double in the bottom of the eighth inning of a 7-5 win over SFA on March 22 and a two-run, eighth inning double during March 20's 5-2 win at Oklahoma.

• Texas A&M's defense has shown dramatic improvement this season as they lead the Big 12 and ranking fifth nationally (as of last NCAA national rankings) with a .983 fielding percentage. The Aggies have only committed 19 errors through 28 games this season compared to 50 at the 28-game mark a season ago.

• The Aggies are 21-2 this season when scoring two or more runs and 17-1 when scoring four or more runs. A&M has lost six games this season with four of the setbacks being of the one-run variety. Through the season's first 28 games, the Aggies have held opponent to two runs or less 18 times.
