COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M's James Duncan was named the 2011 Collegiate Sports Video Assocation's Big 12 Conference Video Coordinator of the Year, the organization announced this week.

Duncan, who oversees all aspects of the coaches' video system for the Aggie football team, won the award through a vote of his peers in the league. He is now a finalist for the prestigious Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year award, to be handed out at the CSVA Banquet on May 12 in Denver. The award is presented to the individual who possesses the qualities, attributes and characteristics that were portrayed by the late Bob Matey, who was video coordinator at A&M from 1987 until his death in 1997.

A native of Steilacoom, Wash., Duncan is a 1996 graduate of Arizona State University. He is in his 14th season at Texas A&M and his eighth as the head video coordinator. The son of David and Elizabeth Duncan of Olympia, Wash., Duncan is a member of the CSVA and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
