A&M/BAYLOR SERIES NOTABLES
The Bears are one of the Aggies' oldest rivals with the two schools having first faced off on the baseball diamond in 1904. Texas A&M holds a 178-130-4 advantage in the all-time series which has featured at least one game between the schools continuously since 1946.

Since the former Southwest Conference rivals joined the Big 12, the series has been tightly contested with Baylor holding a slim 24-23. The Aggies, however, have won 11 of their last 15 meetings with Baylor.

UP NEXT
The Aggies' homestand continues on Tuesday when they face No. 9 TCU on Olsen Field at 6:35 p.m. The contest will be part of a seven-game homestand for the Aggies that begins during the Baylor series.

NOTES AND NOTABLES
• Texas A&M sits in a tie atop the Big 12 standings despite having played more road games during the first month of conference play than any other league school. The Aggies have played nine Big 12 games on the road and are 6-3 in those contests while no other Big 12 squad has played more than six games away from its home ballpark.

• The 2011 season marks the first time the Aggies have won four straight conference series to begin Big 12 play. It also ties the best start by a Texas A&M team through its first 12 games of Big 12 play. The 1999 and 2008 teams also started 9-3 along the way to winning the league's regular season title.

• Freshman Krey Bratsen leads the Aggies in hitting during Big 12 play with a .423 batting average (22-for-52), edging fellow outfielder Tyler Naquin (.412) for the top spot on the squad in league play. Naquin, leads the Aggies for the overall season with a .389 clip at the plate.

• Naqiun has developed into one of the best hitters in the Big 12. The Spring, Texas, native has hit safely in 27 of 32 games played this season and has reached base in three of the five games he has not recorded a hit. The Spring, Texas, native is currently riding a career-high nine-game hitting streak.

• Since moving to the lead-off spot in the A&M line-up for the Texas Tech series, Naquin responded by going 8-for-19 (.421).

• Junior first baseman Jacob House is finding his groove at the plate as the Mansfield, Texas, native has driven in at least one run in 10 of his last 15 games, including four mutli-RBI games and a total of 16 RBI. He has also hit safely in 10 of the 15 games with four mulit-hit games. Among the clutch knocks during his streak were a go-ahead RBI double in the ninth inning of a 4-3 win at Kansas State on April 2, a go-ahead two-run double in the bottom of the eighth inning of a 7-5 win over SFA on March 22, a two-run, eighth inning double during March 20's 5-2 win at Oklahoma and most recently a game-tying RBI double in the top of the ninth on April 8 at Texas Tech to forced extra innings.

• The Aggies are 23-4 this season when scoring two or more runs and 19-1 when scoring four or more runs. A&M has lost eight games this season with six of the setbacks being of the one-run variety. Through the season's first 32 games, the Aggies have held opponent to two runs or less 19 times.

• Friday's game at Baylor will mark the end of the Aggies' most road heavy-stretch of their schedule, which has seen them play nine of 10 games away from College Station.

 • Following Friday's game at Baylor, the Aggies will return to Olsen Field for seven consecutive games. The homestand is part of a stretch druing the Texas A&M schedule which will see the squad play 16 of 20 games in Aggieland.
