IRVING, Texas - Texas A&M's Austin Krajicek and Morgan Frank have garnered Big 12 Tennis Player of the Week honors for matches of April 11-17, the league office announced today.
This marks the fifth career honor for Krajicek, who earned the accolade last week, twice in 2010 and once in 2009. Frank earns her fourth career accolade, having picked up the award once in each of the past three seasons.
Big 12 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Aggie senior All-American Krajicek posted another perfect week with two doubles wins over UT-Pan American and Tulsa as well as a singles victory over No. 28 Marcelo Arevalo from Tulsa. The Aggies recorded 6-1 wins over both non-conference foes last week.
As a team, Krajicek and Jeff Dadamo clinched the doubles point with an 8-6 victory over the 25th-ranked doubles tandem of Clifford Marsland and Ashley Watling at the No. 1 position. Krajicek followed with a 6-2, 6-3 victory at the No. 1 line. Later that day, the senior paired with Dadamo to capture an 8-1 win over UT Pan American's No. 1 doubles duo. With the two doubles victories, the Brandon, Fla.-product has a school-record 102 doubles wins during his career at A&M.
Big 12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Morgan Frank, Texas A&M, Sr., Oldsmar, Fla.
Frank went a perfect 4-0 for the week, including 2-0 at the No. 2 singles line and 2-0 at No. 2 doubles, to help lead A&M to back-to-back road victories. The senior improved to 16-3 overall in singles - all at the No. 2 position - including 8-1 in Big 12 matches only. She also climbed into ninth place in the A&M records for most career singles victories at 87, as well as ninth place for most doubles wins, also at 87.
Against Iowa State, Frank gave the Aggies a 3-1 lead with a 6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-1 victory over Maria Macedo. She also secured an 8-2 victory over Simona Cacciuttolo and Erin Karonis at the No. 2 doubles line with partner Stephanie Davidson.
Entering a crucial match-up at No. 34 Nebraska, Frank moved into sole possession of ninth place in the career doubles records and helped the Aggies capture the doubles point as she and Davidson defeated Patricia Veresova and Janine Weinreich at the No. 2 spot. Frank was first off in singles after handing Veresova just her second loss in 15 matches at the No. 2 position this season with a 6-3, 6-4 win.
Both Aggie teams will be in action on Wednesday as they each battle Baylor.
The women's team plays host to the league-leader and six-time defending Big 12-champion Lady Bears at 6 p.m. at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. The event has been designated as a "Maroon Out Match" and fans wearing maroon will be admitted free.
The A&M and Baylor men's teams meet at 6 p.m. at the Baylor Tennis Center in Waco, Texas, to determine at least a share of the Big 12 regular-season title, as well as the top seed in the upcoming Big 12 Championships, which will also be held in Waco, Apr. 29-May 1.
