NCAA Men's and Women's Tennis Selection Watch Party Set for Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M men's and women's tennis teams will gather at 3:45 p.m. (central) on Tuesday, May 3, to watch the NCAA announcement of the fields of 64 for the upcoming Men's and Women's NCAA Division I Tennis Championships. The women's field will be announced at 4 p.m. (central) and the men's bracket will be announced at 4:30 p.m. (central) live via NCAA.com.

Both Aggie squads will gather with fans and media at the classroom located inside the Omar Smith Tennis Center, just west of the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center, next to Mt. Aggie.

The men's team has tied a school record with 27 wins posting a 27-5 overall record. A&M is led by head coach Steve Denton and the Aggies are coming off of the 2011 Big 12 Championships title last weekend in Waco which provides Texas A&M with an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. This marks the 18th consecutive year for the men's team to reach the NCAA Championships and A&M has hosted the first and second rounds the past two seasons (2009 and 2010).

Senior Jeff Dadamo was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Big 12 Championships and the Aggies are currently ranked No. 9 in the ITA rankings released today. Dadamo is ranked No. 31 in singles and he and his teammate, Austin Krajicek, another senior All-American, are the No. 1 doubles team for A&M. The Aggie duo is currently ranked No. 4 in the country in doubles. Krajicek is ranked No. 17 in singles. Junior Alexis Klegou is ranked No. 94 in singles. The No. 2 Aggie doubles team of freshman Junior Ore and senior Alexey Grigorov are ranked No. 66 and the No. 3 A&M doubles team of junior Colin Hoover and sophomore Alberto Bautista are ranked No. 86.

Aggie women's head coach Bobby Kleinecke has led the women's tennis team to a 15-8 record and was the fourth seed in the Big 12 Championships and reached the semifinals for the 14th time in the past 15 years. The women's tennis team has reached the NCAA's 11 straight years and are expected to receive an at-large bid on Tuesday.

The Aggies are ranked No. 31 in the latest rankings with sophomore Nazari Urbina the top Aggie singles player ranked No. 26 in the country. A&M senior Morgan Frank is ranked No. 113 in singles while the doubles tandem of senior Christi Liles and freshman Christi Potgieter is ranked No. 86 in the country.

Approximately 30 minutes after the announcement show, complete team brackets for both championships should be posted on the NCAA websites (NCAA.com and NCAA.org). The individual singles and doubles portion of the tournament will be announced no later than 5 p.m. central on Wednesday, May 4.

First and second round regional action will be played May 13-15 at 16 campus sites and the locations will be announced Tuesday as well. The Rounds of 16 and the individual tournaments are set for May 19-30 in Palo Alto, California, with Stanford serving as host.
