COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 9 Texas A&M baseball team continues its five-game break from Big 12 Conference play this weekend when the Aggies host Dallas Baptist in a three-game series at Olsen Field beginning Thursday. Game times are set for 6:35 p.m. on Thursday, 6:35 p.m. Friday and 2:05 for Saturday's series finale.

Thursday's game between the Aggies (30-15) and the Patriots (31-13) will be televised live on Cox Sports TV.

WEEKEND PROMOTIONS
• THURSDAY (MAY 5) — Prior to Thursday's game, Texas A&M baseball will honor the 1951 Aggie team which advanced to the College World Series for the first time in school history.
• FRIDAY (MAY 6) — Diamond Darling Appreciation Night
• SATURDAY (MAY 7) — Saturday will be Celebration of Excellence Day, where area youth teams with players under age eight will be recognized. Following the game, the Junior Aggie Club will host a clinic where kids ages 5-12 can meet and get pointers from A&M players and coaches.

PROBABLE PITCHING MATCHUPS
THURSDAY (MAY 5)
Texas A&M - #12 Ben Feltner, who also enjoyed a 21-game hitting streak in 2007.

• Despite losing their first weekend series of the year at Missouri last weekend, the Aggies still share the top spot in the Big 12 standings with Texas heading into the regular season's home stretch. Both squads have a common opponent in Nebraska (Texas travels to Lincoln this weekend and the Aggies host the Cornhuskers May 13-15) before the two team face off in a three-game series May 19-21.

• Senior shortstop Kenny Jackson has become Texas A&M's version of the Iron Man and stands as the only Aggie to have played every inning at his position this season. Jackson had shared the distinction with first baseman Jacob House, who was lifted for a pinch hitter in the eighth inning of April 22's game against Oklahoma State.

• On April 18 it was announced that sophomore pitcher Michael Wacha  was named to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team for the upcoming summer. He becomes the first Aggie to represent the red, white and blue on the baseball diamond since Daylon Holt in 1999.
