COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M's Mark Turgeon announced Sunday.

"After discussions with my family and coaches, as well as feedback from some NBA teams, I have decided to stay at Texas A&M for my senior season," Loubeau said. "We have an excellent team coming back and I look forward to finishing my career, getting my diploma and trying to help Texas A&M win a national championship in men's basketball."

A 6-8 forward from Miami, Loubeau was an All-Big 12 pick this past spring in helping lead the Aggies to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth straight season. He averaged 11.8 points per game, second-highest on the squad, and ranked in the top three on the team in blocks, field-goal percentage, free-throw percentage and rebounds.

"We are glad David has chosen to return to Texas A&M for his senior year," Turgeon said. "The commitment he's shown to his education and his continued growth on and off the floor is to be commended."

Turgeon will welcome back three starters and six of the team's top eight scorers, losing only B.J. Holmes out of that group to graduation. A&M went 24-9 overall, recording the program's seventh straight 20-win campaign, and finished in third place in the rugged Big 12.
