PALO ALTO, Calif. - A pair of Aggies earned evening swims to highlight Texas A&M's fourth day at the 2011 ConocoPhillips USA National Championships on Friday at Stanford University.
Senior Megan Latone (Austin, Texas) and sophomore Cammile Adams (Cypress, Texas) earned spots in their respective consolation finals with Latone taking ninth (19th overall) in the 200-meter backstroke with a time of 2:15.58 and Adams finishing second (12th overall) in the 200 butterfly in a time of 2:10.48. Both Adams and Latone achieved 2012 Olympic Trials cuts in their races.
Also logging Trials cuts on Friday were junior John Dalton in the men's 100 free (50.82); junior Jaclin Rehring in the women's 200 fly (2:16.22 ); sophomore Wylie Escobedo in the 200 back (2:17.56 ); and senior Alyssa Conner in the 200 back (2:17.64 ).
