Aggies Ready to Depart for European Tour

The Texas A&M men's basketball team and new head coach Billy Kennedy have wrapped up practices and depart Monday on a 10-day tour of Switzerland and France.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M men's basketball team and new head coach Billy Kennedy have wrapped up practices and depart Monday on a 10-day tour of Switzerland and France.

The Aggies will depart Houston late afternoon on Monday and arrive in Zurich Tuesday afternoon. A&M has games scheduled on Thursday and Friday against the Swiss National Team in Fribourg and contests in Paris against AMW Elite on Aug. 14 and 16. The squad will spend two nights in Lucerne, two in Bern and four in Paris before returning to Aggieland on Wednesday, Aug. 17.

Among the off-the-court highlights will be visits to some of Europe's most scenic and famous landmarks, including Lake Lucerne, Mount Pilatus, the Swiss Alps, the River Seine, the Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles. It will be the first foreign tour for the program since visiting Italy in 2003.
