COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Season ticket holders will be able to pick their seats for 2011 as the No. 11 Texas A&M soccer team plays its annual Maroon and White Game today at 6:30 p.m. at Ellis Field.

The intra-squad friendly will be the team's first showing in front of a home crowd this season. The match will be split into two 20-minute halves, followed by a shooting competition between the players.

Fans are encouraged to attend for their first glimpse at the 2011 team, which includes 13 letterwinners, seven returning starters and 11 newcomers. Season Ticket holders will be able to select their improved seats at a freshly-renovated Ellis Field in person before the match.

The Aggies recently traveled to Orlando, Fla., for a preseason friendly against Central Florida. A&M came out on top with a 2-1 victory over the Knights in 105 minutes of play. Freshman Annie Kunz netted the first goal of the match and later added an assist, while freshman Kelley Monogue kicked the game winner, assisted by senior Merritt Mathias. Freshman Jordan Day and Renée McDermott split time in goal and had four and three saves, respectively.

The season starts Friday at 6:30 p.m. for A&M, as Fresno State travels to Ellis Field. The weekend continues with a match against No. 17 UC Irvine on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. To learn more about Texas A&M soccer, log on to AggieAthletics.com.
