The Aggies, who return 14 of 15 letterwinners - including all six starters and the libero - are slated to play a total of 13 home matches at Reed Arena, including the season-opening Texas A&M Invitational, Aug. 26-27. There will be a total of three matches played on Friday, Aug. 26, beginning with 2010 NCAA tournament participants Creighton and UTSA facing off at 9:30 a.m. The Aggies make their season debut at 2:30 p.m. against Creighton, which reached the second round of NCAAs after upsetting heavily favored and Big 12 member Iowa State in the first round.

A&M returns to the court Friday evening at 7:30 to take on UTSA. The defending Southland Conference tournament-champion Roadrunners are coached by Laura Neugebauer-Groff, who served as an assistant coach at A&M in 1991-92, and are the preseason favorite to win the SLC regular-season title in 2011.

The Aggies conclude the tournament on Saturday with a rematch against Creighton at 12:30 p.m.

The Aggies are slated to play a total of 13 home matches at Reed Arena, including a friendly match against the Israel national team on Aug. 30. Aggie head coach Laurie Corbelli will be going head-to-head against her former coach from the silver medal-winning 1984 USA Olympic Team, Arie Selinger, widely regarded of one of the greatest volleyball coaches of all time.

Other home matches include a non-conference contest against Houston Baptist on Sept. 21, as well as a challenging eight-match Big 12 home schedule, which kicks off against Baylor on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

The final home match of the regular season, as well as the home edition of the State Farm Lone Star Showdown against rival Texas -- which was swept by A&M swept last year at Reed Arena -- is Wednesday, Nov. 23.

The 2011 NCAA Championship will be played at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Dec. 15 and 17. Tickets to the championship can be purchased at http://www.ncaa.com/championships/volleyball-women/d1.
