Texas A&M soccer freshman Allie Bailey was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for the first week of the season after an outstanding debut weekend with the Aggies.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M soccer freshman Allie Bailey was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for the first week of the season after an outstanding debut weekend with the Aggies, the conference office announced Tuesday.

The San Diego, Calif., native netted the final two goals off the bench, including the game winner, for the Aggies in the team's season-opening contest with Fresno State on Friday. Bailey led the team on the match with three shots on frame in four tries, and two goals for four points. The freshman earned a starting spot against UC Irvine two days later, taking two shots against the 17th-ranked Anteaters.

Bailey leads the Aggie offense after opening weekend with four points and a .500 shots-on-goal percentage. She was one of only two Big 12 players to score more than one goal on the weekend and sits at second in the league in points, points per game (2.00), goals and goals per game (1.00).

No. 17 A&M travels to Knoxville, Tenn., this weekend to take on No. 7 Florida at 5:30 p.m on Friday before an 11:30 a.m. match against host Tennessee (RV) on Sunday. To learn more about Texas A&M soccer, log on to AggieAthletics.com.
