COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M women's basketball head coach Gary Blair will appear in the 18th Annual Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic at Lonnie Poole Golf Course on the Centennial Campus of NC State University this weekend.
In addition to The Classic, held on Sunday, the list of events for the weekend include a Reverse Raffle and Parings Party on Friday night, the ESPN Pre-V at Pinehurst on Saturday and the V Gala for Cancer Research Saturday night - an elegant, black and white, black tie affair with both silent and live auctions.
In just 17 years, the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic has donated nearly $15 Million to The V Foundation for Cancer Research. The V Foundation awards 100 percent of all new, direct cash donations and net proceeds of events directly to cancer research and related programs.
Other celebrities participating in the event include Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, Vinny Del Negro, Nomar Garciaparra, Joey Fatone, Jay Harris, John Saunders, Start Scott, Nicholas Sparks and many more. Over 336 celebrities have participated in The Classic.

Blair and his defending national champion Aggies will also participate in the 10th Annual Jimmy V Women's Basketball Classic on Tuesday, Dec. 6 versus Connecticut. The game will air at 6 p.m. (CT) on ESPN2. This event showcases the top college basketball programs and concludes the fifth annual Jimmy V Week, a weeklong initiative across multiple ESPN platforms and programs featuring special content to help raise funds for cancer research.
