COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M sophomore Katerina Ruzickova was selected to Golf World's 2011-12 list of players to watch on Wednesday.
From Ostrava, Czech Republic, Ruzickova was one of just 50 collegiate women's players to be selected to the list.
Ruzickova, who is in her second season at Texas A&M, led the Aggies in her first year with a freshman record stroke average of 73.12. She tied for sixth and paced A&M to a seventh-place finish in the 2011 NCAA Women's Golf Championship, earning All-American Freshman team accolades and receiving honorable mention All-America from Golfweek.
Ruzickova posted a staggering eight top-25 finishes and six top-10 finishes. She took home first place individually in the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate tournament and tied for second in the 2011 Big 12 Championship.
Ruzickova and the Aggies open their season on Sunday with The "Mo"Morial Sept. 11-13 at Traditions Golf Club in Bryan.
