The duo are the Aggies' key returners from a squad that finished in the top five of the national rankings last spring and placed ninth at the NCAA Championships in June. A&M was ranked sixth last month by Golf World in its preseason poll.
Russell, a senior from College Station, was a consensus All-America pick in 2011 and set a school record with a 71.6 stroke average. He recorded seven top-5 finishes and last month advanced to the semifinals of the U.S. Amateur Championship, the deepest run by an Aggie in the 111-year history of the event.
Peck, a junior from Olympia, Wash., was named an All-American for the second consecutive season. He recorded four top-10 finishes, including back-to-back third-place showings at the NCAA Southwest Regional in May and the NCAA Championship in early June. Peck's third-place finish at the finals was the highest in school history.
Texas A&M opens the 2011-12 season on Sept. 26 and 27 at the Husky Invitational outside Seattle.
