IRVING, TEXAS - The Big 12 Conference announced that the defending national champion Texas A&M women's basketball team will appear on the ESPN family of networks three times during the 2011-12 regular season.
In addition to the Aggies' being part of ESPN's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon on Nov. 15 against Louisville on ESPNU and participating in the Jimmy V Women's Basketball Classic on Dec. 6 versus Connecticut on ESPN2, A&M has been rewarded with a Big Monday game for the fourth year in-a-row.
Texas A&M's home matchup against Baylor on Feb. 27 will be played before a national television audience on ESPN2 at 6 p.m. (CT). Â The Aggies hope for another record-setting crowd against the Lady Bears as last season 13,162 fans filled Reed Arena and shattered the previous A&M women's single game attendance record.
Including Texas A&M's six dates on FSN, the Aggies will appear on television a school-record nine times during the 2011-12 season.
The Big 12 television package will include a total of 35 appearances on national or regional television with nine on ESPN networks and 26 on FSN.
