COLLEGE STATION, Texas-The nine-time national champion Texas A&M equestrian team will have its "unofficial" start to the season on Saturday morning when the Aggies host the Maroon and White Scrimmage at the Brazos County Expo Complex. Show time is 9 a.m. and admission is free.
The scrimmage will see all riders in each discipline--equitation on the flat, equitation over fences, horsemanship and reining--take to the competition arena.
A&M won its third straight western national championship last spring. The Aggies open the regular season on Sept. 23 at Delaware State and will host perennial powerhouse Georgia in the home opener on Saturday, Oct. 8.
The Expo Complex is located at 5827 Leonard Road in Bryan, just east of State Highway 47.
