Aggies Rained Out in Washington

A&M heads home, opens season Oct. 16 in San Antonio

BREMERTON, Wash.-Steady rains totaling over an inch and standing water on many of the greens, tee boxes and fairways has forced the cancellation of the first 36 holes of the Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational at Gold Mountain Golf Club outside Seattle.

With the tourney shortened to just 18 holes, the Texas A&M men's golf team has joined several other squads in withdrawing from the tournament.

The Aggies, who will now be able to add another two-day tournament to their competition schedule at a later date, will be headed home Tuesday afternoon. A&M will now open its season Oct. 16, 17 and 18 at the Lone Star Invitational at Briggs Ranch in San Antonio.
