COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M soccer junior Nora Skelton was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week, the publication announced today.
A native of Austin, Texas, Skelton had an outstanding weekend at home with the Aggies. The forward scored three goals and added an assist as No. 17 A&M went 2-0 against Iowa State and Loyola-Chicago at Ellis Field.
Skelton helped the Aggies improve to 2-0 in Big 12 play with a 3-1 victory over Iowa State on Friday, heading the game winner past the left post in the 50th minute. In Sunday's 5-0 shutout against Loyola-Chicago the junior scored twice and assisted the final goal, tallying seven points on the weekend.
This is the first national weekly honor for Skelton, and the second for the Aggies this season. This weekend the team travels to the Midwest to take on Kansas and Missouri in a Big 12 road trip. To learn more about Texas A&M soccer, log on to AggieAthletics.com.
