COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M baseball team will host its annual Maroon & White Championship Series Oct. 18-20 on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park with first pitch set for 3 p.m. each day.
Due to construction at Blue Bell Park, there will be limited seating for fans who want to catch the action. Viewing will be limited to Aggie Alley and the right field bullpen, where fans are asked to bring lawn chairs to sit in.
The Maroon & White Series is the culminating event of A&M baseball's fall internal competition for the Omaha Cup, which has become tradition under head coach Rob Childress.
"This series is a culmination of our time on the field with the entire team," Childress said. "The competition on the field, in the classroom and in the community has been ongoing since the players arrived for the start of the fall semester and this three game series should be very competitive between the Farmers and the Plowboys."
Texas A&M baseball will officially kick off its 2012 season and gun for another run to the College World Series on Feb. 17-19 when the Aggies host Illinois-Chicago in a three-game series at Blue Bell Park.
