Corps to March at Friday Soccer Match
Oct 13, 2011 | Soccer
COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M Corps of Cadets will march into the stadium prior to Friday night's soccer match at Ellis Field.
March-In will begin at 5:45 p.m. and will last until 6:15, with the format similar to that of home football games. Each unit will march west on Tom Chandler Dr. between Reed Arena and Ellis Field, entering the Little Athletic Complex at the northeast corner. The Corps will then march down the east sideline to be recognized over the PA system, before turning behind the south goal and exiting the field at the southwest corner.
Also with the Corps of Cadets will be the Parsons Mounted Cavalry 'Spirit of '02' cannon. The cannon will be set up near the Penberthy Fields near the southwest corner of the stadium, and will be fired after each Texas A&M goal.
The game vs. Drake University is set for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff and is the Aggies' final nonconference match of the season. Defending Big 12 Champion A&M is tied for first in the conference with Oklahoma State and looks to defend that title next weekend.
