Texas A&M senior quarterback Ryan Tannehill was named National Offensive Player of the Week by the Walter Camp Foundation on Sunday, highlighting a host of honors for multiple Aggies after their 55-28 win over then No. 20-ranked Baylor.
Joining Tannehill on the honored Aggies list were junior wide receiver Ryan Swope, senior placekicker Randy Bullock and sophomore Joker Damontre Moore.
Tannehill was also recognized by the Manning Award, the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA), CollegeSportsMadness.com and the All-Star Football Challenge. Against the Bears, Tannehill directed the Aggie offense to 681 yards, which was the seventh-highest offensive output in school history. He finished the afternoon 25-for-37 for 415 yards and six touchdowns. His six touchdowns were a career high and matched the second-highest total in school history. His 470 yards of total offense ranked No. 2 in school history, and his 415 passing yards were No. 3.
More than half of Tannehill's passing yards went to Swope, who was named Big 12 Player of the Week by Rivals.com and National Wide Receiver Performer of the Week by CFPA. Swope reeled in 11 receptions for a career-high 206 yards and a school-record four receiving touchdowns.
Receiving honorable mention positional Performer of the Week honors from CFPA were Bullock and Moore. Bullock connected on a pair of field goals on two attempts, including a 47-yarder, and was perfect on five extra point tries. He also averaged 66.7 on kickoffs and tallied four touchbacks. Moore was a constant thorn in the side of Bear quarterback Robert Griffin III and finished with 1.5 sacks and another tackle behind the line of scrimmage.
