COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M soccer team will honor its four seniors Friday at Ellis Field prior to a 6:30 p.m. game against Oklahoma.
Seniors Merritt Mathias, Bri Young, Rachael Balaguer and Megan Majewski, along with their parents, will be recognized on the field during pregame ceremonies for their leadership on-and-off the field for the past four years.
The Aggie soccer class of 2012 is the 14th-winningest Division I senior class in the nation with a 58-22-7 mark. The four seniors have led A&M to a Big 12 championship and three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including a trip to the Sweet 16 and an Elite Eight run.
Fans are encouraged to arrive to the Oklahoma match early to applaud each of the four Aggie seniors as they are recognized on the field. Friday night is also Honor Roll Night. Bryan-College Station area students, grades K-8, who made the honor roll at their school have received free tickets to the match.
The game will be broadcast on AggieAthletics.com, and in-stadium on 88.1 FM. The weekend will round out with a 3 p.m. Sunday match against No. 2 Oklahoma State at Ellis Field, broadcast on ESPNU. All TAMU students will receive free admission to Sunday's match.
