COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS - The defending national champion Texas A&M women's basketball season is just around the corner and it's time to mark your calendar and get your seat to watch the No. 6 team in the nation.
In honor of their national ranking, here are six tidbits you should know about Aggie women's hoops this season:
1. The Aggies hosts Oklahoma City for an exhibition game on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. at Reed Arena and officially begin the season with their home opener against Lamar on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.
2. Texas A&M takes on No. 9 Louisville on Tuesday, November 15 in a nationally televised 3 p.m. game as part of ESPN's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon. The Aggies will receive their national championship rings and drop the national championship banner 20 minutes prior to tipoff. Be sure to be there to be part of the festivities.
3. Season tickets are still available for as low as $100. Fans that purchase women's basketball season tickets are treated to a commemorative ticket book chronicling the run to the 2011 NCAA National Championship. The book also includes a look at the 2011-12 season by featuring the entire roster on the game tickets. Season ticket purchases will include the commemorative book while supplies last.
4. Tickets for A&M's six non-conference home games are also available now and are priced at $15 for courtside seating, $13 for sideline, $9 for baseline, $7 for general admission and $4 for youth. Children under two years old are admitted free in general admission only. All fans, regardless of age, must have a ticket in a reserved section.
