ADELAIDE, Australia - Texas A&M senior divers Grant Nel and Jaele Patrick combined to earn five medals Dec. 8-11 at the 2011 Australian Open Championships.
Nel grabbed a gold and a silver medal in the men's competition, while Patrick won a pair of silvers and a bronze medal in women's portion of the Aussie Open.

Nel, from Melbourne, Victoria, teamed with Ethan Warren to win the 3-meter synchronized dive with a score of 403.14 to just edge the Chinese runners-up by less than three points. He also took second on the 1-meter springboard with a score of 383.05 and a fourth-place finish on the 3-meter with 453.45 points.

Patrick, from Lilydale, Victoria, earned silver medals on the 1- and 3-meter springboards with scores of 268.55 and 309.85, respectively, and also teamed with Anna Gelai for the bronze in the 3-meter synchronized with a score of 282.60.
