Aggies Finish 6th In Texas Invite

The Texas A&M men's swimming and diving team rounded out the third and final day of the Texas Invitational with a sixth place finish overall behind a team score of 195 points.

The Aggies were outscored by only five of their 14 opponents as Texas (981), Arizona (930), USC (729), UC-Santa Barbara (219.5) and UNLV (213.5) paced the field.

Senior swimmer Amini Fonua posted a twelfth place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke event after touching in 2:01.15.

Swimmers sophomore Kyle Troskot, junior John Dalton, sophomore Henrik Lindau and senior Boris Loncaric made up the 400-yard freestyle relay squad, which finished eight with an NCAA "B" cut time of 2:58.74.

The Aggies take to the pool next when they travel to Baton Rouge, La. to face off against to-be SEC foe Louisiana State University on Jan. 21.
