COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Fox Sports Net (FSN) announced today that it will offer live coverage of the Texas A&M softball team's game vs. Texas in Austin on Saturday, April 28 at 12:30 p.m.
The matchup is the second game of a three-game series between the instate rivals and is the first of two games set to be played in the state capital in 2012.
The A&M softball team was placed at No. 15 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Preseason Poll last week, while UT was slated at 19th. The Aggies hold a 19-18 all-time record against Texas, winning their last battle in 2011 at home, 5-1, in front of a national audience on FSN.
The teams will meet April 26 in College Station for their first game of the season before playing in front of a national-television crowd from Austin. A win in each game is worth one-half point in the 2012 State Farm Lone Star Showdown, an annual athletic rivalry between the two schools.
