A&M senior Maggie Earle earned a top-eight finish at the third-annual Winter
Equestrian Festival's Collegiate Equitation Challenge on Friday evening at the
Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
Competing against a 16-rider field, Earle (Fallbrook, Calif.) defeated SMU's Julianna Fischer, 85-84, in the first round before falling to Baylor's Lisa Goldman, 86-78, in the quarterfinal round. The event was run in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association's head-to-head format over an equitation course and was formatted in a single-elimination, bracket-format competition.
Texas A&M returns to the competition ring on Saturday, Feb. 25 when the Aggies travel to Stillwater to face Oklahoma State.
