Cyclones Top Aggies in Ames

Chris Allen scored a career-high 25 points to lead Iowa State to a 69-46 win over Texas A&M Saturday afternoon before 14,376 fans at Hilton Coliseum.

AMES, Iowa-Chris Allen scored a career-high 25 points to lead Iowa State to a 69-46 win over Texas A&M Saturday afternoon before 14,376 fans at Hilton Coliseum.

Scott Christopherson added 10 points and Royce White and Melvin Ejim grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds apiece, as the Cyclones (18-7, 8-4) improved to 13-2 at home.

David Loubeau had a team-high 10 points and six rebounds for the Aggies (12-12, 3-9).

ISU led 30-19 at halftime.

Texas A&M wraps its two-game road swing on Tuesday when the Aggies head to Lubbock to face Texas Tech. Game time at United Spirit Arena is set for 6 p.m. (CT) and the game will air nationally on ESPN2.


TEXAS A&M POSTGAME NOTES

- Texas A&M started the lineup of Elston Turner, Naji Hibbert, Jordan Green, Daniel Alexander and David Loubeau for the first time this season.

- Khris Middleton returned to the floor for the first time since Jan. 21 ... Middleton had missed the previous 5 games with a right knee injury.

- The loss snapped a 3-game win streak for the Aggies inside Hilton Coliseum ... it was ISU's first win over A&M in Ames since 2004 ... the Aggies now lead the all-time series, 10-9.
