ESPNU to Broadcast Texas Game in April

ESPNU announced today that it will broadcast the Texas A&M softball team's home game against Texas, set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 26.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - ESPNU announced today that it will broadcast the Texas A&M softball team's home game against Texas, set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 26.

The matchup is the first game of a three-game series between the instate rivals and is the only game set to be played in College Station.

The A&M softball team sits at No. 15 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll, while UT ranks 13th. The Aggies hold a 19-18 all-time record against Texas, winning their last battle in 2011 at home, 5-1, in front of a national audience on FSN.

The teams will meet April 26 in College Station for their first game of the season before playing in front of a national-television crowd from Austin on FSN. A win in each game is worth one-half point in the 2012 State Farm Lone Star Showdown, an annual athletic rivalry between the two schools.
