The Texas A&M softball team's home opener against Sam Houston State is still scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. today, despite rain in the College Station area.
Assistant Grounds Maintenance Manager Craig Potts and his Field Crew staff have been working since this morning to monitor the field, which is covered with a field tarp and should be ready by game time.
