COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M softball senior Lindsey Sisk was named the College Sports Madness Softball National Pitcher of the Week and Big 12 Player of the Week, the publication announced.

Sisk (Murrieta, Calif.) led the Aggies to three wins on the week, garnering victories over Sam Houston State, North Carolina State and UTSA. The right-handed hurler (4-1) threw 20 1/3 innings in three starts, fanning 14 batters and walking just four. Sisk allowed only two earned runs on the week as A&M (8-2) improved to 32-straight victories on the home diamond.

This is the first national player of the week honor for Sisk, a 2011 Academic All-Big 12 second team selection.

Sisk and the Aggies head to California this week for the Cathedral City Classic. To learn more about Texas A&M softball, log on to Aggie Athletics.com.
