NEW ORLEANS - The No. 11 Texas A&M women's golf team remains in seventh place after Monday's second round of the 2012 Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship at the English Turn Golf & Country Club.

The Aggies carded a 10-over 298 and have a two-day score of 598 (300-298). No. 4 USC remains at the head of the pack with a 9-over 585 by carding the lowest round each day (293-292). No. 13 Duke is second with 589 while No. 17 Colorado (590), No. 19 Baylor (591) and No. 18 Florida (593) round out the top five. No. 20 Oregon is just ahead of A&M in sixth with 596.

"As a whole we looked better today," A&M head coach Trelle McCombs said. "We had so many good looks at birdie from everyone, we just didn't quite convert. I know we are on the right track, we just need a couple more putts to fall and we can really make a move."

Junior Susy Grunden and sophomore Katerina Ruzickova had the best rounds of the day for the Aggies with 2-over 74s. The pair is tied for 16th with 148 (74-74). Freshman Patricia Garcia shot a 3-over 75 and is tied for 23rd with 149 (74-75).

Junior Sarah Beth Davis also turned in a 75 and is tied for 43rd with 153 (78-75). Junior Mary Michael Maggio is tied for 50th with 154 (78-76). Sophomore Natalie Reeves, who is competing as an individual, is tied for 66th with 160 (80-80).

Oregon's Cassy Isagawa set a tournament round record with a 7-under 65 Monday and took the lead individually with 136 (-8).

Tuesday's final round is an 8 a.m. shotgun start and the Aggies will play alongside Alabama and Auburn.
